7 Unde să plec dinaintea Duhului Tău,
unde să fug dinaintea feţei Tale?
8 Dacă mă sui în cer, Tu eşti acolo!
Dacă îmi întind patul în Locuinţa Morţilor, iată-Te şi acolo!
9 Purtat de aripile zorilor,
mă aşez la capătul mării,
10 dar şi acolo mâna Ta mă conduce
şi dreapta Ta mă apucă.

13 Tu mi-ai întocmit rărunchii;
Tu m-ai ţesut în pântecele mamei mele.
14 Te laud că sunt o făptură atât de minunată
– minunate sunt lucrările Tale! –
şi sufletul meu ştie foarte bine aceasta.
15 Oasele mele nu erau ascunse de Tine
când am fost făcut într-un loc ascuns,
când am fost ţesut în adâncimile pământului.
16 Când eram doar un plod fără chip, ochii Tăi mă vedeau,
iar în cartea Ta erau scrise toate zilele care mi-au fost hotărâte
mai înainte să existe vreuna din ele.
Tu m-ai ţesut în pântecele mamei mele.
14 Te laud că sunt o făptură atât de minunată
– minunate sunt lucrările Tale! –
şi sufletul meu ştie foarte bine aceasta.
15 Oasele mele nu erau ascunse de Tine

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
Where can I flee from your presence?

all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
